Welcome
to Cub Scouting. You and your son are
beginning on a trail of fun and adventure that will challenge him and allow you
to share experiences that you probably would not otherwise have. He may even become an Eagle Scout someday! Cub Scouting is for boys K through 5th Grade. It is designed to provide opportunities for boys and their parents to work, play, and have fun together. Parents are an integral part of Cub Scouting!
Cub Scouting’s strength is that it is a well-rounded program, positively affecting every area of a boy’s life. Cub Scouting promotes activities that lead to personal responsibility and high self-esteem. Cub Scouts do crafts, play games, participate in sports, sing songs, tell stories, solve puzzles, to name a few things. Most of the activities a Cub Scout do will happen in den meetings, at home, and on field trips.
Cub Scouts earns badges, belt loops/pins, and awards. They do requirements to advance and earn their badges of rank (Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light). Cub Scouts also participate in Academics and Sports program to earn belt loops and pins.
Our pack is located in the City of Scottsdale around the McDowell Mountain Ranch, DC Ranch, and Windgate Ranch community. Our pack and den meetings are on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Depending on the activity (Blue & Gold, Pinewood Derby, and Raingutter Regatta) some den or pack meetings may go till 8:00 PM.
